Safe and reliable

The Long Haul by Human Powered Machines is equally suited to the proverbial “load of bricks” or the most precious cargo—your kids. Made in the USA since 1986 and in Eugene, OR since 1990, the Long Haul was inspired by European utility bikes, but redesigned with CroMo tubing for strength and flexibility, SRAM internal 3×9 or standard derailleur 3×9 (27 speed) gearing, and upgraded brakes (with disc brake option). These improvements make the Long Haul lighter, faster, and able to brake more effectively. Most workbikes in the world have lacked the quality that serious cyclists take for granted. Portland owner Helga Fuller uses her Long Haul as a family vehicle and says, “this is a real bike!”
